This summer there was an explosion in the basement of my apartment building where I live and work. The place was evacuated, and we weren’t allowed in for weeks, not even to retrieve any essentials. In the end, it was 7 weeks that my insurance put me up in a hotel, with no access to any paperwork, my contacts, my anything.

I had started the business last September, but only got a modest loan in May, so I was really just getting started when this disaster happened.

So, I’d like to win the 1000 business cards to get my marketing and networking off the ground now that I’m back home.

This offer couldn’t come at a better time for us. With the current economy our 5 person firm has been using your site to help get our creative juices flowing to come up with creative ways to reduce our outgoing marketing expenses and increase our new customer contacts and orders. At our recent company meeting during a brainstorming session I mentioned creating a contest between everyone at our company. The contest would be to see who could generate the most new business contacts over a specified period of time. A new business card that everone could use was suggested (since some of our operators don’t really have business cards). Our contest begins in December and 1000 free business cards would really help us keep our commitment to reducing the cost of marketing while increasing new customers in our new “Guerilla” initiative.

Thanks for this exciting opportunity!! Can’t wait to read about all the other ideas!

If I were to win the business cards, I’d use them for my local church. Believe it or not, but business cards are expensive around here in Ohio and I’ve had a hard time convincing our Pastor that he’d benefit from having them to pass out to people that he visited.

I believe if I won these business cards, He’d see the quality, use them, and realize the work great for reaching out and helping people in our city…whether it be with getting them food from the food bank at our church, helping with utilities, or other needs that our church is known to help people with.

If I were lucky enough to win I would use them for personal use. They would read: Lies For Liars
~I lie, and so can you~
It will be a way to promote my blog.

I am starting a business in New Orleans. Yes, I know, post-katrina and a nationwide recession - great timing. But its what I’ve always wanted to do so I am going forward. We are capitalizing on green technology and practices and would offer our services to many of the music industry businesses here, which shockingly do not embrace any green or sustainable efforts. We plan to launch in February, which means college interns will be doing massive online marketing, social networking, etc…all of which will provide a web presence. However, winning the cards (made of the recycled material, of course) would give us a physical touch point to hand out to customers as we launch. What better way to do it than with cards made from one of the very efforts that we are pushing in our services?
