I may add that Mr Smith's mention of finding a mentor is good. Bootstrapping a business is scary and having one person to talk out things one-on-one makes for clearer thinking. The group discussion is also good, but usually bogs down decision making with too many variables to consider. Timing is a big issue also. Dragging around doing one study after another in hopes of finding absolute certainty will play into the competition's hands and make it difficult to keep a foot hold.
