QUICK NOTE: WE’VE HAD SOME SERVER ISSUES AND HAVE SWITCHED SERVERS. SORRY IF THE SITE HAS BEEN ACTING FUNNY THE PAST 24 HOURS.
Well, the new design is up earlier than expected. I hope everyone is enjoying the new look of Bootstrapping Blog as much as I am. I love this theme so much better than the old one. Let me know if you do too. There are however some bugs still needing to be worked out which I’m working on now.
- COMMENTS ARE NOW OPEN TO ANYONE. We mistakenly looked over the fact that we had the “user must be registered to comment” option checked. You can now post comments without registering. Sorry about that.
- Archives and Links pages both are up and running but will be getting a huge overhaul in the way they’re setup very shortly. I’m thinking of changing the links page into a tumblr page similar to how Zen Habits has their links page. Not sure yet though.
- Comments are working, so feel free to drop me a line if you’re reading any of the articles here. They are however getting a face-lift to look better. I’m also
working ondone getting the gravatar plugin setup for everyone. I think that helps add to the community vibe of a website. - Other minor tweaks will be happening over the next 24 hours or so. I’ll be updating certain things here and there so if you see something changing, don’t worry, I’m here. If you do see a bug around the site, please contact me so I know.
- The About page is going to be written out soon as well. I know that is crucial for new visitors to see exactly what this blog is about and who is the person (soon to be ‘people’) behind the blog. This is one of the top priorities for me, so expect it done very soon.
There will also be a couple new articles being put up tonight. One written by me on Guerrilla Marketing, and also a guest post if the writer sends the article to me fast enough. If not, that article will go live tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone for sticking around with this site, and to all the new viewers, we appreciate your time spent on this blog. I hope you enjoy every article you read. Feel free to comment any time to tell me how lousy of a job I’m doing.
Nice design… way easier to read!
Thanks J.J. I’m glad you like it. We’re still touching things up, but I love this design much more than the old brown one.
Nice design. It’s much more traditional (and probably accessible) than the previous one, but I really liked the old design… I’m glad I found your site via a SEOBook video in time to enjoy the previous design.
Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your comment. I am glad you like this design and I am also glad you liked the other design.
You’ll come to notice that I like to change designs a lot, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this blog changes designs 2-3 times in 2008
