  1. Tycoon Says:

Brilliant! Great ideas that makes me think ‘I wish I thought of that’. We definitely have to be more creative nowadays to compete with the Microsofts and the Walmarts of the world.

  2. Nascar Says:

I love these ads, particularly the feed the children and the western union ads.

  3. Webconomist Says:

Some great ads, not sure I’d call them “guerrilla budget” though; what was the cost of placing some of these and the creative? I’d call these innovative placements, truly well done.

  4. Mike Smith Says:

@Tycoon – Yeah, definitely some “wish I would have thought of that” campaigns here. Thanks for the comment. I hope you enjoy the site.

@Nascar – The western union ad is one of my favorite as well. Thanks for commenting.

@Webconomist – The Anti Smoking campaign couldn’t have cost much (printing some flaps for the car, or at least buying flaps and getting the image printed on them – definitely not too expensive), the dentist teeth cost maybe 2 dollars for the construction paper and staples, The rock climbing one could be duplicated with actual chalk (no damage to the building and definitely gets peoples attention), The kissing point circles could be printed up cheap as well.

The carrot campaign I’m actually interviewing the man responsible for those soon and I believe he said it cost $800.00 altogether (not 100% sure on that figure yet) but the market sold out of everything, so profits were definitely made :) Guerrilla marketing is not only cost effective marketing (bootstrapping the marketing) but also out of the box ways to get attention, which all of these do :) Thanks for the comment

  5. Paul Simister Says:

Great to see some imagination being used in the adverts but I’m not sure that some of them are tuned into the benefits of the brand and message. Certainly the “Don’t speed” does put over the idea very clearly. While the Kissing Point made me smile, it doesn’t communicate the brand.

  6. Luxury Real Estate Marketing Says:

If only all advertisements were this good, we wouldn’t hate advertising quite so much :)

  7. MarketingDeviant Says:

Those are some brilliant ads. Just awesome!

  8. Mike Smith Says:

@Paul – The Kissing Point is a bit hit and miss in my opinion too. The company is a lip care company, but they could have put their site address on the circle or something.

    @ LREM – Yeah, I agree 100%

    @ MarketingDeviant – Glad you liked :)

  9. Orly Chen Says:

The Clorets and Clue ads I think are the best. They cut through the clutter, the messages are obvious, and they unique enough to be remembered

  10. Hillel Says:

    lol these are great ads!

  11. Marita Greenidge Says:

I love these! They are so creative. Now I’m thinking about ways to make my marketing campaign more creative.

  12. Lucas Says:

Wow! I especially liked the Western Union and Clue ones. Marvelous stuff. ;)

  13. Matt Santi Says:

This is exactly what direct marketers call their swipe file – they borrow the ideas of others, twist them and turn it into an outstanding ad that they can profit it off of. Ideas are in the public domain and cannot be copyrighted.

  14. Liz Turner Says:

    Some really ingenious marketing there.

Love the CLUE one. Pity that the execution of the ‘feeding the hungry’ campaign didn’t get the name across. (Thus it’s only a category builder).

  15. Derrick Jones Says:

Can we get away with the “Erotika Sex Shop” here in the US?

  16. Lou Says:

Great information. This will help me help my customers send more people to hell. ATicketToHell.com is a must see site.

  17. Barry Shereshevsky Says:

Awesome stuff. Really out-of-the-box creative and definite attention getters. The thing that I wonder about most is how to get the OKs from communities to put shoes on trees, etc. Painting a guy on the street.
    Terrific ideas.

  18. Evie Says:

Now I must go to work on an idea!

  19. Kelly Says:

Genius!! Second that, need to go think on how piddleypix.com can produce something even half as effective!!

  20. Kev Says:

Fantastic. Some brilliantly effective stuff. Not sure the local council will appreciate me destroying their paths though…
This has set my mind racing now though!!

  21. Akash Sharma Says:
